The smallest increase at 6.5 percent was recorded in the Region of Attica, which includes Athens and the Athenian Riviera. Overall, accommodation and F&B services providers across Greece reported an 11 percent rise in turnover in January to 270,926,904 euros, compared with 244,187,777 euros the same month a year ago. F&B service activities marked a 10.4 percent increase in turnover in the first month of the year to 176,829,556 euros over 160,125,978 euros in January 2023. Overall in 2023, the greatest increase in turnover compared to 2022 was recorded in the regional units of Zakynthos (21.7 percent) and Halkidiki (19.4 percent). On the downside, the regional unit of Mykonos marked a decline of 10.9 percent and Santorini of 3.0 percent.
