A major event for key players in the aviation world, AIA’s workshop focuses on the challenges and developments in the industry. Every year, during the annual meeting, the airlines that recorded the most successful results in the previous year are awarded according to specific categories. “We are proud to receive this recognition, which is an inspiration to do even better… We ended 2023 with an operational breakeven, one year ahead of what was envisaged in the Business Plan,” said Emiliana Limosani, Chief Commercial Officer of ITA Airways and CEO of Volare. ITA Airways last year improved its performance in terms of passengers carried by 50 percent. In particular, the intercontinental segment doubled the number of passengers and reached EBIT already in 2023, after just one and a half years of full operations. “This important achievement testifies to the great work done so far and pushes us towards more ambitious challenges in our mission of making ITA Airways the benchmark in guaranteeing Italy quality connectivity both with international and domestic destinations,” Limosani added. In total, in the summer of 2024, ITA Airways will operate 57 destinations, including 16 domestic, 26 international, and 15 intercontinental. ITA Airways’ expansion into long- and medium-haul continues in the current year.
