A new boutique hotel named the MEDLEY Hotel Athens recently opened its doors in the center of Athens, offering guests high-quality accommodation inspired by the Greek music scene. A member of the hospitality group Nimaris IKE, the MEDLEY is located in the Psyri district and housed in a 19th-century neoclassical building, formerly used as a restaurant and museum of Greek gastronomy. The hotel’s concept is based on the musical masterpieces of world-famous Greek composers and performers including Maria Callas, Manos Hadjidakis, Mikis Theodorakis, Vangelis Papathanasiou, and other great musicians. “The MEDLEY is a place inspired by the rhythm and sounds of timeless classical and modern Greek music composers and sopranos,” the hotel’s management says. Named after timeless songs and performances such as the Madama Butterfly opera with Maria Callas’ voice, the hotel also has an inner courtyard reminding of the style of old Athens from the Belle époque with unique interior design. The MEDLEY features nine mansion-like rooms with floor paintings and suites with indoor and outdoor jacuzzis overlooking the Acropolis. Every room is equipped with air conditioning, free Wi-Fi, a flat-screen TV, a coffee machine, a refrigerator, a minibar, a safety deposit box, a kettle, bedclothes, and towels. A number of the rooms offer excellent views of the city center. Furthermore, the hotel offers guests room service, an ATM, baggage storage services, a parking lot, and transfer from and to the city’s airport. Breakfast at the hotel’s courtyard. The location of the MEDLEY is perfect for those who want to take in the city’s exciting nightlife as well as explore its historical sites and museums. Nearby, guests will find Monastiraki Square, the Acropolis, and the Ancient Agora of Thissio. Shopping enthusiasts will find their way to Ermou Street that has stores with some of the most popular brands. The portfolio of hospitality company Nimaris IKE includes the Be My Guest hotel in Athens and a number of short-term rental apartments around the Acropolis hill.
