Completed in late February, the corporate transformation of AFEA saw the establishment of the new company AFEA Congress SA. The newly formed corporate structure has fully undertaken AFEA’s PCO (Professional Congress Organizer) services and Groups & Incentives services, assuming all related rights and obligations. According to AFEA, the new company – with a new brand and visual identity – will aim to be the “growth engine of Greece’s conferences and events sector”. It is noted that the existing AFEA Travel SA will continue to offer Travel and Corporate Travel Services and DMC (Destination Management Company) – Luxury Travel services. The founder of AFEA Travel & Congress Services, Andreas Lygnos and the CEOs of AFEA Congress, Sissy Lygnou and Dimitra Lygnou, said in a joint statement: “Throughout the course of our activity in the industry, we have developed strong relationships with a wide network of clients, partners and suppliers, which enables us to detect and fully meet all the multifaceted market needs. As a result of the above, the quality of our work, as well as our commitment to providing specialized services while adhering to our principles and vision, have led us to become a leader in our sector, which is acknowledged both by our clients and our partners.” Before AFEA Travel and Congress Services split into two entities it had been operating in the MICE (meetings, incentives, conferences & exhibitions) and Corporate Travel industry since 1977, providing customers with integrated services. “With absolute respect for our legacy and all that it entails, AFEA Congress SA embarks on a new and exciting journey, entering a new era, with a new brand and visual identity – but with the same passion, love and dedication for all that we do!” Join the 15,000+ travel executives who read our newsletter Follow GTP Headlines on Google News to keep up to date with all the latest on tourism and travel in Greece.
