Greek hospitality group Mitsis Hotels recently introduced Mitsis N’U Piraeus Port, its first urban hotel at the hub of Piraeus Port, the largest passenger port in Europe and one of the biggest worldwide.

The hotel opened its doors on April 6 with an inauguration ceremony carried out by Greek Tourism Minister Olga Kefalogianni.

Located right at the heart of the business world of Piraeus and next to gates E7/E8/E9 and cruise terminals A, B, and C, from where ships and cruise ships depart for the Cyclades, the hotel is just 200 meters from the train, metro, and tram stations, providing a direct connection from Piraeus to Athens International Airport (AIA).

“The opening of Mitsis N’U Piraeus Port marks a milestone for the Mitsis Group as we continue our strategic investment expansion in Greece, solidifying our presence at the country’s two main traveller entry points,” Mitsis Hotels Managing Director Stavros Mitsis said during the hotel’s inauguration ceremony which was attended by figures from the business, political and tourism sectors.

Mitsis Hotels also runs the Sofitel Athens Airport, the only hotel located just a step away from the arrivals terminal of Athens Airport.

“At the same time, we contribute to the revitalisation of Piraeus and its economic development,” Mitsis added.

Nestled in a heritage building once home to METAXA Spirits’ distillery from 1888 to 1968, the hotel embodies the architectural vision of Dimitris Travasaros and the award-winning Divercity Architects under the supervision of the architect Spyros Naoumidis, showcasing its historical personality in a contemporary manner.

Fully aligned with the modern meaning of luxury and the evolving preferences of today’s travellers, Mitsis N’U Piraeus Port offers 101 rooms and suites within five different room types. From the Classic double rooms with balconies and Luxury & Executive Rooms to the Suites located on the higher floors of the building, providing a privileged position and offering views of the sea and the port, the hotel caters for the needs of every guest, whether business or leisure.
