Attending the B2B Travel & MICE Event Athens 2024 event earlier this month, representatives of the Thessaloniki Tourism Organization (TTO) promoted the Greek city to representatives of international travel agencies as a popular European destination, highlighting its versatile tourism offering.

“The interest expressed by the tourism professionals during the event show the appeal of the city’s tourism offering, which serves a number of travel needs and interests,” the organization’s management said in an announcement.

The TTO’s participation in the MICE event in Athens is its latest promotional action for Thessaloniki. Earlier, in March, the organization attended the Holiday World and Region World tourism exhibition in Prague as part of its strategy to introduce Thessaloniki around the world. During the exhibition in Prague the TTO was honored for its stand’s impressive appearance.

The organization recently welcomed a new president who will follow a strategy that sees the promotion of Thessaloniki’s comparative advantages and of sustainable tourism development.

Organized by the tourism marketing company Respond on Demand, the B2B Travel & MICE Event Athens 2024 attracts travel agencies and tour operators from Greece and around the world. Through the event, tourism professionals can meet international buyers and network with other stakeholders in the sector.
