Among demands, GSEE is calling for solutions to the high cost of living, wage increases and the reinstatement of collective labor agreements.

Several unions in Greece will join the 24-hour strike.

According to announcements so far, on Wednesday:

– the tram will not operate for 24 hours

– the electric railway ISAP (line 1) will not operate for 24 hours

– the suburban (proastiakos) train will not operate for 24 hours

taxis will not be operating from 5am until 3pm.

With regard to the national railway, routes are expected to be affected. Managing company Hellenic Trains has announced changes on its website.

Ferries will remain docked in Greek ports for 24 hours as the Panhellenic Seamen’s Federation has announced its participation in the strike.
