Impressed by the development of Greek tourism, Ambassador Tay referred to the investment possibilities Greece can offer international Asian companies. On her part, Kefalogianni referred to the initiatives undertaken in recent years by the Greek government to ensure a particularly favorable environment for international investors. The minister pointed out that in addition to the popular island destinations, Greece has an impressive mainland with sites of unique historical importance and tourist interest, such as Olympia, which are world-famous and attract foreign investors. Moreover, discussions also evolved around medical tourism, a field that Singapore has developed significantly. Kefalogianni highlighted that the ministry considers medical tourism an important product of Greece and said efforts were being made to boost the country’s presence in the market.
