The Hotel Grande Bretagne is preparing to offer Easter experiences to its guests, visitors and residents of Athens.

On Holy Saturday, April 4, right after the late Easter celebrations, the Grande Bretagne has a special traditional dinner menu with Greek dishes prepared especially for the day at the revamped GB Roof Garden restaurant on the 8th floor.

The menu, curated by Chef de Cuisine Nikos Liokas, includes the traditional “magiritsa” soup followed by tender slow-cooked leg of lamb and grilled cutlet with caramelized potatoes and crispy eggplant croquette with yoghurt. For dessert, Pastry Chef Alexandros Koufas presents a decadent ekmek kataifi with Madagascar vanilla cream, hazelnut ice cream and a delicate jasmine blossom water foam.

The Holy Saturday menu is available from 22:30 to 01:00am.

An authentic Greek Easter with the Acropolis in the background

On Easter Sunday, the GB Roof Garden Restaurant welcomes its guests with an abundance of Greek meze and ouzo served next to the spits on the sunny terrace with the best view in town.

The rich Easter buffet curated by Executive Chef Asterios Koustoudis will include a variety of traditional Greek appetizers and “magiritsa” soup and an array of salads and traditional Greek dishes. Live carving stations with lamb and “kontosouvli” meze will add to the festive atmosphere.

The menu also includes an array of special Greek desserts, cakes and freshly cut fruit.

The Easter Sunday menu is available from 13:30 to 17:00.

Easter gifts at the GB Corner

As for Easter gifts, the Grande Bretagne’s GB Corner Gifts & Flavors has a number of selections including Easter gift compositions, experience gift vouchers, handmade GB perfume-scented Easter candles and impressive chocolate eggs available in two flavors.
