Global hospitality company Hilton recently announced that it will rapidly expand its resort portfolio in Europe, with 10 hotels, totalling more than 1,500 guest rooms. Three of these hotels are in Greece. Opening in time for summer, Hilton’s new hotels will be under its Curio Collection by Hilton, Tapestry Collection by Hilton and DoubleTree by Hilton brands. According to a company announcement, key leisure destinations such as Greece and Sardinia have increased in popularity in recent years and, in the last year alone, Hilton signed more than 20 resort hotels across Europe, Middle East and Africa under six of its brands. This growth is part of Hilton’s strategy to develop its portfolio of resort hotels, which has doubled in the last five years and now stands at more than 300 hotels worldwide.
