Photo source: Costa Navarino The National Basketball Association (NBA) and Costa Navarino have announced that the second season of the NBA Basketball School will take place from Monday, May 27 to Sunday, September 15. To celebrate the tip-off of the summer program, Costa Navarino will host the nine-time NBA All-Star and Greek League Hall of Famer Dominique Wilkins, for a special appearance from June 23 to 26. Additionally, from Sunday, June 30 to Saturday, August 17, participants will have the exclusive opportunity to learn from former NBA player and first-round draft pick Michael Bradley, who will join as NBA Basketball School camp director. Photo source: Costa Navarino Young players ages 6-18 will learn the fundamentals of the game in three-to-seven-day camp programs, while adults can participate in daily one-hour sessions. All participants will receive an NBA branded t-shirt upon registration, and participants who attend the full camp (six or seven days) will receive an NBA Basketball School certificate and NBA gift. To mark the commencement of the NBA Basketball School season, a celebratory event took place on Saturday, May 4, at Costa Navarino, with former WNBA player and Women’s Basketball Hall of Famer Ticha Penicheiro (Portugal) and former NBA player and 2004 Olympic gold medalist Luis Scola (Argentina) in attendance. The special event included on-court programming and interaction with the NBA and WNBA veterans, an autograph session, and basketball clinics focused on the fundamentals of the game including footwork, ball-handling, shooting, team concepts, and on court competitions.
