To determine the rankings, travel experts at Bounce carefully analyzed various factors including the proportion of activities for couples and families, tourist sights and landmarks, restaurants, number of beaches, and prevailing weather conditions in each cruise destination. According to the findings, the Greek island of Santorini emerged with an impressive score of 8.13 out of 10, securing its position at the top of the list, particularly excelling in its offering of romantic activities. The index also highlights Santorini’s strong performance in family-friendly activities, ranking second with 958 activities per 100,000 people. Other Greek islands recognized in the rankings include Mykonos, securing the 5th spot, followed by Rhodes in 6th place, while Corfu concludes the index with a score of seven points out of ten. Additionally, Cartagena and Lanzarote in Spain, Valetta in Malta, Sydney in Australia, and Dubrovnik in Croatia are also celebrated as top cruise destinations. The index also unveiled this year’s top cruise lines, taking into account factors such as the number of itineraries, social media following, YouTube subscribers, fleet size, passenger capacity, and number of cabins of the largest ship within each cruise line’s fleet. For travelers planning a cruise in 2024, Royal Caribbean Cruise Line emerges as the top choice, boasting a capacity of up to 7,600 passengers. Following closely behind is MSC Cruises with a score of 8.80 out of ten, followed by Carnival Cruise Line, offering 2,641 rooms and garnering 115,000 subscribers on YouTube. Other notable mentions include Norwegian Cruise Line, Princess Cruises, Disney Cruise Line, and P&O Cruises.
