Among others, Kefalogianni underlined the importance of public-private partnerships and the exchange of know-how that will with coordinated efforts establish Greece as a wine tourism destination in the years to come. The newly set up Wine Tourism Council will be responsible for the development and promotion of the wine tourism segment on the back of several ministry initiatives to tap into the potential of wine tourism. Photo source: Tourism Ministry Among others, the ministry has already launched the Visitable Winery label and network which have paved the way for tourist visits to select wineries across the country that offer tastings, tours, and workshops. The segment brings together primary production with hospitality and F&B, and creates new products such as guided tours at winemaking facilities and vineyards,” she said.
