Greek Tourism Minister’s Pre-Summer Tour of Ionian Isles Begins Thursday

Greek Tourism Minister Olga Kefalogianni will launch her pre-summer tour of the Ionian Islands on Thursday.

According to an announcement from the Greek Tourism Ministry, Kefalogianni will visit Kefalonia on Thursday and Friday as the first stop on her tour of the Ionian Islands before the summer 2024 season.

During her time on Kefalonia, she will brief industry stakeholders on the ministry’s new policies, vision, and initiatives aimed at fostering sustainable and balanced tourism throughout the country and for extended periods of the year.

While on Kefalonia, Kefalogianni will visit Argostoli, where she will chair a meeting with representatives from the hotel and tourism industry, industry entrepreneurs, wine producers, and local government officials.

Following the meeting, the minister will visit the city’s central market and engage in discussions with residents and business owners.

On Friday, she will hold meetings in Lixouri and also meet with Metropolitan Dimitrios of Kefalonia.
