Greek hospitality group Mitsis Hotels has added a new destination in its portfolio with two new hotel units on the island of Corfu.

The Group recently acquired the Messonghi Beach Hotel, a 4-star beachfront all-inclusive resort in the area of Messonghi and also signed a 10-year management agreement for the Belvedere Hotel, a 3-star seaside all-inclusive hotel in Agios Ioannis Peristeron. Both properties belonged to the Georgoulis family.

The property acquisition marks the third in a row that Mitsis has completed within two years following its expansion with the addition of two hotels on the island of Crete in 2022. The property management agreement for the Belvedere Hotel marks the fifth contract the Group has entered into within one year, following its expansion agreements on Crete, Santorini, and in Halkidiki.

“With our goal being the strategic expansion of our Group into tourism-developed destinations that offer natural beauty, cultural authenticity, infrastructure readiness and opportunities for experiential tourism, we are implementing a series of investments and acquisitions of new hotel units that establish and strengthen our brand in the next day of Greek hospitality, while offering integrated services to the tourism market which contribute to the local economy and society,” said Mitsis Hotels Managing Director Stavros Mitsis.
