Named the “Olympus Adrenaline & Nature Festival”, the event will take place from May 25 to 26 at the central festival venue in Litochoro and throughout Pieria, with the participation of numerous local businesses and tourism professionals. Through the festival, the regional unit aims to integrate its coastline, Mount Olympus, and Mount Pieria into an annual event celebrating nature and culture. In its first edition, local stakeholders will introduce visitors to the area’s unique features that make it an ideal destination for outdoor activities, while also treating them to traditional specialties made with local products. “Mount Olympus, the mythical mountain, combined with long coastlines and the azure sea, create the perfect conditions for a variety of outdoor activities in the region, which everyone can discover and enjoy through this festival,” the organizer said in an announcement. Additionally, tourism professionals will have the opportunity to participate in B2B meetings and learn more about Pieria’s tourism offerings. Some of the festival’s highlights include: – A first aid session to provide attendees with the necessary knowledge and skills to deal with emergency situations. – A workshop discussing the valuable contributions of bees, the appropriate equipment needed to care for them, and how to use it. – A 20-minute electric bike ride to Litochoro, allowing participants to explore the beautiful area. – A pottery workshop for both adults and kids. – Acroyoga sessions that combine the flexibility of yoga with the energy and power of acrobatics. Supported by the Pieria Organization for Tourism Development and Promotion (POTAP) and the Greek National Tourism Organization (GNTO), the festival will offer free entry to all attendees.
