Photo © Greek Travel Pages Athens International Airport (AIA) is inviting its passengers and visitors to once again discover new destinations, offering yet another cultural experience that will “bring to life” the DNA of places and cultures at the airport. Through its Cultural DestiNAtions program, Athens Airport on Friday, May 24, will take us on a trip to… “China in 60 minutes!”. At the Departures Level – Entrance 3 (open to the public), between 12:00 – 13:00, a giant LED WALL will impress viewers with video art displaying the distinctive “koi fish”. Animators in Chinese attire will be inviting the public to enjoy a dance ballet and martial arts show, a traditional Chinese tea ceremony, and Chinese delicacies, while watching travel bloggers’ photos taken during their trips to China. Visitors will be able to take photos at the photo booth, explore China through VR, see their names written by a Chinese calligrapher, and answer a short quiz with unique questions. Also, during the event, a gigantic dragon will roam around, creating a stir among travellers and visitors at the airport! The Cultural DestiNAtions program is a cultural project of Athens Airport in collaboration with the Social Cooperative Enterprise PHELLOE. The program will continue in 2024 with experiences from unique countries around the world, in an open dialogue with the customs and characteristics of each culture, with plenty of music, culinary delights and many surprises.
