Semiramis Hotel Welcomes Summer with Revamped Pool, New Menu

The Semiramis Hotel in Kifisia, a prestigious northern suburb of Athens, is ushering in summer with the unveiling of its redesigned pool, showcasing a modern aesthetic, vibrant hues, and an innovative culinary concept.

“With a fresh look and a new menu, Semiramis Hotel aims to reinforce its reputation as the premier spot for relaxation in the northern suburbs and beyond,” the hotel’s management said in an announcement on the pool’s opening.

The pool renovations were carried out by the Manhattan Projects architectural office, while the menu was curated by renowned Greek chef Aris Vezene.

A summer oasis in Northern Athens

Semiramis’ renovated pool is designed with an urban cool aesthetic and a vibrant color palette based on new pastel shades of pink.

Aiming to be an oasis in Northern Athens, the architects combined new colors and organic forms to create a vibrant environment ideal for summer excursions just outside the city center.

Featuring warm pastel pink, natural green, and organic forms, the pool area was also enhanced with more plants, giving an exotic flair to the decor.

New salads spruce up the menu

Complementing the renewed decor, the menu offers a new culinary experience, designed by Green Garlic Studios and curated by award-winning Greek chef and restaurant owner Aris Vezene.

The menu features fresh salads with special combinations of ingredients, such as fattouche with Kalamata olives and feta, burrata with peach, watercress, champagne vinegar, pumpkin seeds, and quinoa with lime and rocket.

Additionally, unique raw plates are served, including fish crudo with chili and Sitia olive oil, beef carpaccio with Naxos arsenico (local cheese) and black truffle, and tartare with mustard seeds, chives, and Cabot pepper.

Dessert lovers can enjoy ice creams and sorbets, with watermelon being a must-try, along with light meringues, panna cotta, and chocolate mousse.

Semiramis’ pool is open daily, 11am – 7pm (no reservations), and the restaurant (outdoor area) operates 11am – 12:30am. The pool is open to both hotel guests and visitors for a fee.
