Greek travel agents and journalists recently had the unique opportunity to tour the Queen Victoria cruise ship during its stopover at Piraeus Port on May 23.

Operated under the prestigious Cunard brand, Queen Victoria pays homage to the former British monarch of the same name. Despite being the smallest of Cunard’s fleet, she boasts impressive dimensions, measuring 90,049 gross tons and stretching 964.5 feet in length. With accommodation for up to 2,061 passengers and 913 crew members, Queen Victoria offers a luxurious cruising experience.

Among her many amenities are seven restaurants, thirteen bars, three swimming pools, a ballroom, and a theater.

allCruises.gr, the official representative of Cunard in Greece, organized an exclusive tour for tourism professionals as part of the “Luxury by allCruises.gr” program. The tour provided insights into Queen Victoria’s facilities and unveiled this year’s itineraries and destinations.

Thanks to innovative programs such as “Luxury by allCruises.gr” and “Slow Cruising by allCruises.gr”, personalized trips tailored to the unique preferences of customers and partners are now within reach, according to Eleni Tressou, the company’s co-founder.

Cruises are the new trend for solo travelers

Speaking during the tour, Tressou highlighted that luxury and expedition cruising are two emerging trends in the cruise industry, drawing more passengers. Additionally, an increasing number of solo travelers are opting for cruises for their holidays.

“Therefore, companies are adapting their prices and cabin configurations to accommodate solo travelers,” she explained.

On his part, Michalis Panagiotakopoulos, co-founder and owner of allcruises.gr, elaborated on the innovative “Luxury by allCruises.gr” program, which offers a diverse range of luxury cruise products and personalized proposals tailored to the preferences, needs, and requirements of customers and partners.

During the tour, Tressou and Panagiotakopoulos presented Cunard’s program for 2024 and 2025, which includes destinations in Greece.

As Cunard’s official representative in Greece, allcruises.gr specializes in promoting and selling cruise packages worldwide. The company also designs incentive trips, corporate events (MICE), luxury cruising, and ship charters.

Cunard has transported royalty and Hollywood stars such as Elizabeth Taylor and Charlie Chaplin during the “golden age” of sea travel.

As of this year, Cunard’s fleet comprises the cruise ships Queen Mary 2, Queen Victoria, Queen Elizabeth, and the brand new Queen Anne.
