The NJV Athens Plaza hotel in Athens recently completed the renovation of 33 Classic Business Rooms and Suites, enhancing the experience for both business and leisure travelers.

With a total cost of up to 2.5 million euros, the renovation project concluded in March, as initially announced by the hotel.

“Our focus is always on catering to the needs of modern travelers, whether it’s a business trip or a family holiday. We aim to provide a more comfortable stay in a sophisticated atmosphere,” NJV Athens Plaza General Manager Vana Lazarakou said.

The planning was carried out by construction company Airtec, while the completion was overseen by real estate development and project management firm Diolkos Development.

Revamped suites with timeless style

With a commitment to preserving the hotel’s timeless and classic style, architects designed the new suites with modern elements to ensure guests feel right at home.

In addition to the comforts offered in the rooms and suites, their elegant design complements the warm and sophisticated atmosphere of the premises.

According to the hotel’s management, the use of soft, earthy tones in the oak paneling and upholstery, along with the bright colors of the walls and the warm shades of the wooden floors, creates a “serene and luxurious ambiance”.

Moreover, natural materials took center stage in the redesign, with old carpeting replaced by oak flooring and walls adorned with wooden oak paneling and earthy-colored fabric covering. Fabric details harmoniously combine with the interplay between hard and soft surfaces, enhancing the overall aesthetic.”

New high-tech equipment and audiovisual services

The new rooms and suites are equipped with state-of-the-art technological amenities and audiovisual services. These include a fully automated lighting system, next-generation aluminum frames with thermal break and energy-efficient glazing, and exceptional air conditioning.

Technological enhancements were also made with the installation of the KNX automation system in the rooms. This advanced system provides guests with a personalized and luxurious accommodation experience.

One of the primary functions of KNX is the automation of lighting and air conditioning, with management and monitoring processes streamlined through web-based automation.

Consequently, hotel staff can offer more personalized services, such as preparing the room before the guest’s arrival or managing functions like “make my room” and “do not disturb” based on each guest’s preferences.

“As we complete this magnificent renovation of our 33 classic business rooms, I want to assure all our distinguished guests, past and future, that we remain committed to achieving new goals,” Lazarakou added.

Recently, the hotel welcomed Panagiotis Anastasiou to lead its culinary team as the new executive chef, promising guests a renowned dining experience.

Situated on Syntagma Square, the NJV Athens Plaza hotel offers 159 rooms and 21 suites. It is part of the Vardinoyannis Group and is a member of Preferred Hotels and Resorts.
