Specifically, the airline will maintain two weekly direct flights from Paris to Heraklion until the end of November. The initiative is part of the Greek airline’s strategy and commitment to support national efforts to enhance the tourism season, extending into the winter months across more destinations in the country. Following the expansion of the Paris-Heraklion seasonal flight, the Greek National Tourism Organization (GNTO) expressed its support for the airline’s initiative, as extending the tourist season is a key priority for the organization. “The action of the Greek airline could significantly increase traffic from the French market to Greece, particularly to Crete, and help strengthen the income of the local community by extending the season by one month,” said GNTO Secretary General Dimitris Fragakis. Recently, SKY express and the GNTO marked the completion of their successful 2023 collaboration in promoting Greece abroad by presenting the results of their annual co-promotion program, which reached over 20 million tourists across Europe with advertisements showcasing the Greek tourist product.
