The Astir Marina, a premium yacht club on the Athenian Riviera opened its doors this week set to cater to the needs of luxury sea craft visiting Greece.

The 53-million-euro marina is located near Athens International Airport and the Cycladic Island, meets increasing berthing needs in Attica, offers top-notch amenities and home-porting options, and privacy, as well as fine dining and upscale shopping – all on the iconic Astir Peninsula.

The Astir Marina meets sustainability standards and aims to become a reference point for adventure and recreation in South Eastern Mediterranean while establishing the Athenian Riviera as a leading luxury tourism destination.

The Astir Marina “is one more example of how Greece is developing into an attractive investment destination. With 60 berths, the marina has now become modern and functional, respecting the environment and cultural heritage,” said Economy and Finance Minister Kostis Hatzidakis.

The minister went on to add that the ambitious project, a model of sustainable development, will help ease docking traffic while strengthening the local economy and upgrading the tourism product of the country.

The Astir Marina is part of a wider tourism investment by Astir Palace Vouliagmeni SA, which includes the first Four Seasons hotel in Greece, the re-launch of the legendary Astir Palace Hotel in Vouliagmeni as the Four Seasons Astir Palace Hotel Athens, and the development of 13 Astir Villas.
