Revamped in 2019, the ship belongs to Royal Caribbean’s Voyager class fleet, boasting impressive dimensions of 137,276 gross tons and a length of 310 meters. Voyager of the Seas consists of fifteen decks and can accommodate up to 3,600 passengers in spacious cabins. During the ship’s stay in Piraeus in late May, Navigator Travel & Tourist Services, Royal Caribbean’s official representative in Greece, hosted a tour for 30 Greek tourism professionals and journalists, introducing them to the ship’s facilities. Guests on the tour were also informed about the ship’s summer itineraries and destinations. Summer 2024: Homeporting in Piraeus The Voyager of the Seas will homeport in Piraeus three times this summer: on June 17, June 24, and August 19. The ship will offer 7-night sailings to and from Piraeus, with ports of call in Kavala, Istanbul (where it will stay overnight), Kusadasi, Santorini, and Mykonos. For the remainder of the summer, the Voyager of the Seas will visit destinations in the Western Mediterranean, including Valencia in Spain, Ajaccio in Corsica, and Portofino in Italy, with departures from Barcelona or Civitavecchia. Departures from Piraeus to Ravenna and Barcelona will also be offered, with stops in the most beautiful destinations of the Aegean, Ionian, Adriatic, and Western Mediterranean. Highlights of the Voyager of the Seas ship include a surf simulator, an ice rink, a climbing wall, and mini golf. The Voyager class introduced the iconic Royal Promenade for the first time, a lively pedestrian area featuring cafes, pubs, and shops, and hosting themed parties in the evenings. Facilities also include three pools, six Jacuzzis, four complimentary restaurants, three thematic restaurants, nine bars, a video arcade, a full-size outdoor basketball court, an outdoor cinema, shops, a casino, a conference center, and areas designed specifically for children and teenagers. Joining it will be the Brilliance of the Seas, a cruise ship belonging to Royal Caribbean’s Radiance class, which will use Piraeus as a port of departure. From late May to early August 2025, the Brilliance of the Seas will offer weekly departures with 7-night itineraries starting and ending in Piraeus. These itineraries will include visits to Santorini, Bodrum, and Kusadasi in Turkey, as well as Limassol in Cyprus.
