Celebrating 50 years of hospitality excellence this year, the hotel is located in Athens’ upscale Kolonaki neighborhood, offering an idyllic retreat overlooking the Acropolis and the city. Under the direction of the hotel’s in-house architectural team, led by Maria Papatriantafyllou, Vertigo underwent a transformation, becoming a “new oasis” just moments away from the city center. Renowned interior designer Carlos Mota from New York curated the bar’s decor, selecting yellow as the primary color to evoke the warmth of the sun. Combined with contemporary design and comfortable furnishings, the space exudes elegance and comfort. To infuse a touch of exotic charm, local plants and flowers adorn the bar and pool area, creating a tranquil ambiance reminiscent of a summer getaway from the bustling city of Athens. At Vertigo Pool & Sunset Bar, guests can indulge in a variety of refreshments and cocktails, while food enthusiasts can savor finger food bites and summer-inspired dishes crafted by executive chef Stefanos Papanikolaou. Operating daily from 10 am to 9 pm, St. George Lycabettus’ Vertigo welcomes guests to enjoy its renovated pool area and bar. Members of the Vertigo Pool Club benefit from complimentary access, making it the perfect spot for cocktails, light bites, and relaxation, with additional perks such as discounts at the spa and exclusive room rates. In honor of 50 years of exceptional service and dedication to excellence, St. George has planned a series of events and initiatives throughout the year, aimed at expressing gratitude to loyal patrons and extending a warm welcome to new guests.
