In a company update, the airline’s management stated that the partnerships open up new opportunities for connecting Greece and further bolster the country’s tourism offerings. “We are very happy for all our strategic partnerships, which we honor and develop daily,” said SKY express Chief Commercial Officer Gerasimos Skaltsas. Following international standards and practices, SKY express has already entered into agreements with 18 airlines around the world, including Air France, American Airlines, Air Transat, Air Serbia, British Airways, Condor Airlines, Cyprus Airways, Delta Air Lines, easyJet, EL AL Israel Airlines, Emirates, Etihad, KLM, Middle East Airlines, Qatar Airways, Royal Jordanian, Transavia and Turkish Airlines. “This is a ‘vote of confidence’ of 18 major global carriers in SKY express and proves its steady upward trajectory in the international aviation market and its credibility,” Skaltsas said. Through its strategic alliances, SKY express offers the possibility of seamless interconnection with more than 160 countries worldwide. According to Skaltsas, the goal is to boost connectivity and demand. “Every day we work to make Greece a sought-after year-round travel destination for passengers from all over the world,” he added. In 2023 the number of monthly flights of the company’s interline partners exceeded 500,000 and SKY express transported more than 1,000 passengers from all over the world through Athens International Airport (AIA) on a weekly basis. With a renewed and modern fleet of 27 aircraft, the youngest in Greece – an average age of 1.6 years for ATR 72-600 aircraft and 3.1 years for Airbus neo – and one of the most environmentally friendly in Europe, SKY express aims to offer passengers a unique travel experience.
