Greek and international content creators were recently introduced to Greece’s tourism offerings through the Boutique Hotel Program by the Hellenic Chamber of Hotels (HCH).

Launched by the chamber to boost the quality in Greek tourism, the “Boutique Hotel” certification program is addressed to Greek accommodation units that fulfill the requirements of being designated as “boutique hotels”.

Centered around the slogan ‘Love to Host You’, the chamber’s recent initiative included a familiarization (fam) trip to Greece attended by 23 influencers from Belgium, France, Germany, England, Hungary, Serbia and Greece. According to the chamber, the hosted influencers play a crucial role in promoting tourism destinations, experiences, and businesses.

The fam trip took place to Hydra in cooperation with the island’s hotel association. On June 12, guests explored Hydra’s tourism offerings and created high-quality digital content inspired by the island’s appeal.

The next day, the influencers took part in the Boutique Hotel B2B event “Networking with Digital Content Creators: Be Inspired, Learn, Grow YourBusiness” held at the Hotel Grande Bretagne in Athens.

Over 200 Boutique Hotel members engaged with the influencers and were motivated by content creation practices tailored for various social networking platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube.

Additionally, the members were informed on the impact of AI on hotel operations and promotion and participated in numerous B2B meetings to explore potential collaboration opportunities with content creators.

“Hoteliers expressed significant interest in the strategic management of influencer collaborations and the application of artificial intelligence within the hospitality industry,” the chamber said in an announcement.

During the B2B event, Theodoros Moulos, an esteemed lecturer in international artificial intelligence workshops, presented how AI can enhance the growth and visibility of hotel businesses.

Furthermore, Boutique Hotel Program Manager Emilia Vlami spoke of the program’s significant increase in membership due to the advantages offered to Greek hotels. The Boutique Hotel program currently counts over 200 certified hotels across Greece.

“With this B2B event, the Boutique Hotel Program resumes its proactive coordination of events, focusing on informing, educating, and promoting its member hotels,” said Hellenic Chamber of Hotels President Alexandros Vassilikos.

Vassilikos expects the Boutique Hotel Program to count some 400 hotels in the program by the end of the year.
