Isabella Zampetaki, a food and travel writer and author, will host this unique cooking session in The Artist’s Hotel cellar near Monastiraki metro station. The secret cooking classes will take place every Wednesday at 4 p.m. and over the course of three hours, participants will explore the unique identity of Greek gastronomy. Drawing from her extensive experience in the culinary scene of Greece, Isabella will guide cooks in preparing five dishes that are typical of those shared around a Greek Sunday table. After the classes, this homestyle dinner will be served at the artist’s rooftop restaurant, overlooking the Acropolis. The menu includes iced tisane, handmade herbal bread rolls, fava and dakos salad with a twist, veal with orzo giouvetsi, and Greek gold and chocolate mousse. Isabella has been reporting on Greece’s most genuine local products for over 15 years. Her two books, “Handcrafted Crete” and “Why Eat?”, reflect her experience in Greek gastronomy and the value of a balanced diet. When she is not cooking, Isabella speaks at conferences and dinner parties about food culture and well-being.
