According to the latest Greece Reputation Tracker which examines Greece’s online reputation during the first quarter of the year, based on the assessment of thousands of online comments, positive points were awarded for gastronomy, hospitality, and culture. Overall, Greece’s rating outdid the European average driven by positive feedback for cultural experiences, seaside attractions, and F&B. The top five international markets with the largest number of reviews gave a Greece an overall score of 9.0, with travelers from the US and the UK providing the highest ratings. Other key takeaways include: – a shift in interest to nature and environmental issues with a strong emphasis on eco-friendly and sustainability offerings – there was a slight decline compared to the previous quarters in concerns about overtourism – online discussions focused on the impact of the recent dust clouds from Africa as well as the poor maintenance of the 2004 Olympic Games venues – positive points were also awarded for services and value for money, sustainable travel options and hygiene.
