Piraeus Port of Athens recently welcomed EXPLORA I for her maiden call marking the ship’s debut in the Eastern Mediterranean. The ship is the first of a fleet of six for the luxury ocean travel brand Explora Journeys of the MSC Cruises.

Following her maiden call, EXPLORA I set sail from Piraeus on June 27 visiting Volos, Thessaloniki, Kavala and Istanbul, followed by the arrival back in Piraeus on July 5.

EXPLORA I will call to 21 Greek ports in 2024, with many of the journeys offering convenient embarkation and disembarkation in Piraeus. Highlight destinations for guests travelling on board EXPLORA I in Greece include Katapola (Amorgos), ParosPatmos and Corfu.

Explora Journeys is the privately-owned luxury lifestyle brand of the MSC Group, headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland.

With overnights and longer stays at destinations, Explora Journeys’ guests can delve deep into local cultures and experiences, creating memories that last a lifetime. Journeys start at 7 nights and can extend to 14 or 21 nights, all departing from easily accessible ports.
