Asteria, the renowned beach on the Athenian Riviera in Glyfada, has reopened to the public following a complete renovation and is now ready to offer guests a variety of experiences. Vintage charm sets Asteria Beach apart, as it has been a preferred spot for Athenians since the 1950s, drawing locals for weekend outings. Known as a destination for those who loved luxury, Asteria remains synonymous with retro Athens, evoking the days when Greek tycoons were on the rise. Today, following a massive investment, the Asteria compound is once again betting on its cinematic tradition, luxurious settings, natural beauty, clean sea water, and vintage spirit. This charm is mirrored in its umbrellas, retro sunbeds, and picturesque bungalows. Photo source: Asteria Beach The nearby pool is open to adults only, offering classic cocktails and light dishes. As night falls, the pool area transforms into an open-air restaurant, with tables set under the stars. That is the Bungalow 7 restaurant on Asteria beach, with its mid-century design. Chef Dinos Fotinakis presents choices of dishes, beginning with breakfast and ending all the way to late night dinners. The menu includes fresh fish and seafood, premium cuts of meat, and other wonderful dishes, including sushi. The menu also includes several quality wine choices, either Greek or imported. With the operation of Asteria Beach, one can safely say that an iconic part of the Athenian Riviera is back in action. Asteria Beach is located on 58 Poseidonoa Avenue in Glyfada and is open between 10am-8pm.
