Travelers visiting some of the most popular Greek islands can now enjoy their summer excursions by using the Uber Boat App to rent a speedboat to explore beach clubs, scenic coves, and remote locales.

For the second consecutive year, ride-hailing company Uber has relaunched its Uber Boat service, expanding operations from Mykonos to three new destinations – Mykonos, Santorini and the Athenian Riviera – aiming to support Greek tourism and facilitate transportation between the islands.

The service, operated by local licensed providers, offers on-demand transportation through the Uber app, allowing users to easily and reliably book speedboat tours with just the click of a button.

According to a company announcement, the expansion reflects Uber’s strategy to position Greece at the center of Europe. In addition, it strengthens the country’s tourism sector while ensuring affordable and safe transportation services for residents and visitors in these areas.

“As Greece prepares to welcome millions of visitors to its islands this year, the tourism industry continues to be essential for the domestic economy,” the announcement said.

In response to the occasion, Uber said it was reaffirming its commitment to support local businesses through innovative solutions, expanding its collaboration with local partners to offer ride-hailing services using its platform technology.

“We are committed to offering the capabilities of our technology to users, allowing them to enjoy more ways to get around our country with the click of a button, and to local entrepreneurs, providing them with more business opportunities,” said Mary Gaitanarou, Uber’s Country Operations Manager for Greece.
