The rich cultural heritage of Chios Island in Eastern Greece will come together with international music during the summer Chios Music Festival. Featuring a diverse lineup of events with Greek and international artists, the festival is scheduled to commence at the end of July.

The festival, established on Chios in 2017, is an annual celebration of music that aims to spread a message of joy and solidarity to the island’s residents and visitors. To highlight Chios appeal, the festival is divided into two sections: the summer edition and the winter edition, providing support to local communities all year round.

“The Chios Music Festival, through its diverse and multicultural activities, aims to strengthen the sense of community and unity,” the festival’s organizers said in an announcement.

From 31 July to 13 August, Greek and international melodies will entertain festival visitors. Performances by Turkish composer Cenk Erdoğan, leading soloists of the European Woodwind Quartet from Germany, and the multinational Sebun Quartet will highlight the Chios Music Festival’s role as a bridge of friendship and culture on the eastern borders of Europe.

Chios’ landmarks will shine as the backdrop for the festival’s concerts, showcasing the island’s medieval beauty and historic identity. Highlights of the festival include:
