Greece’s Zakynthos, Kalymnos, Kefalonia, Lefkada and Thessaloniki are some of the most budget-friendly destinations in terms of last-minute all-inclusive holidays and B&B accommodation, according to a recent report by Which? Travel.

To compile the list, Which? collected prices for 3,780 package holidays from the UK’s largest tour operators, Jet2holidays and TUI, in June 2024. The countries examined included Bulgaria, Cyprus, Croatia, France, Greece, Italy, Malta, Montenegro, Morocco, Portugal, Spain (including the Balearic and Canary Islands), Turkey, and the Channel Islands.

The Ionian Island of Zakynthos (Zante) was listed as the 10th cheapest all-inclusive destinations for a last-minute package holiday with the most affordable holiday package costing 1,190 pounds.

Across Greece, in the Dodecanese, Kalymnos emerged as the third cheapest destination for room only, self-catering and B&B accomodation packages.

“Lesser-known Greek Island, Kalymnos, which was the cheapest package holiday destination when we checked back in April, remains one of the 10 cheapest destinations for a self-catered package – with per person package prices under £950 for a week,” the report highlighted.

At the same category, the top 10 also included Kefalonia in the 7th position, Lefkada at the 8th and Thessaloniki at the last spot with an average cost of 937 pounds per person per week.

According to Which?, all-inclusive holidays are surging in popularity as they allow travelers to control their spending. Morocco’s west coast is this summer’s cheapest destination for an all-inclusive package, while Crete in Southern Greece is the priciest all-inclusive location this year, with packages costing £1,473 per person.
