Costa Navarino: All-Star Legend Dominique Wilkins Attends NBA Basketball School

To celebrate the start of the NBA Basketball School summer program, Costa Navarino welcomed Dominique Wilkins, a nine-time NBA All-Star and Greek League Hall of Famer, who introduced young players ways to improve their skills.

For the second consecutive year, the Costa Navarino partners with the National Basketball Association (NBA) to inspire and create opportunities for players of all ages to learn the fundamentals and core values of the game under the guidance of experienced coaches. Additionally, the initiative further expands the diverse sports offerings at Costa Navarino.

From June 23 to 26, kids and teenagers had the opportunity to train on the court under the guidance of the legendary player, practicing techniques and playing styles. Moreover, Wilkins signed autographs and shared stories about his basketball career with the young athletes.

“Participating in the NBA Basketball School at Costa Navarino means a lot to me because it highlights the growth of basketball in Greece,” Wilkins said.

He also highlighted the importance of nurturing children’s skills from an early age and helping them cultivate their love for basketball through teaching and learning.

Launched in 2023, the summer basketball school marks a first-of-its-kind NBA collaboration, combining a world-class coaching program with premium hospitality and FIBA-compliant basketball facilities at Navarino Dunes.
