The app will aim to streamline the process of trip registration with port authorities, bypassing previously burdensome red tape. Covering around 7,500 professional tourist sailing boats and yachts rented out in the Greek market, the app will facilitate the online registration of charterparty agreements. The new digital solution will ensure that all necessary documents for sailing in Greek waters can be electronically acquired. The “e-CharterParty” app will include all professional leisure vessels registered with the Register of tourist ships and small boats, providing a unique tool to track the activity and whereabouts of all registered leisure boats in real-time. Among its many features, the “e-CharterParty” app will allow for the registration of passengers on boats, automatic calculation of trip duration, and registration of each trip with the tax authorities. This new app is the result of joint efforts by the ministers of Shipping and Island Policy, Christos Stylianidis; National Economy and Finance, Kostis Hatzidakis; and Digital Governance, Dimitris Papastergiou.
