The test run, which took place on Sunday, followed the first test flights the company carried out in the Aegean, specifically among the Sporades islands of Skopelos, Alonissos, and Skyros. Upon landing in Amphilochia’s waters, company experts conducted on-site assessments to ensure that the port will adequately meet the needs of incoming and outgoing seaplanes. Hellenic Seaplanes hopes to commence commercial flights soon, with recent test flights in the Sporades and Amphilochia aimed at familiarizing pilots with the water and infrastructure conditions in those areas.
