He succeeds Dimitris Fragakis, who recently resigned from the position. “Fiorentinos assumes his duties bringing with him many years of experience and expertise in the field of tourism and administration,” the Tourism Ministry said in an announcement. Born on Mykonos, Fiorentinos has dedicated his entire professional life to tourism, particularly as a hotelier. He has held several significant positions, including Deputy Secretary General of the GNTO (2012–2014), Vice President of the Hellenic Chamber of Hotels, and Secretary General of the Hellenic Hoteliers Federation. For nearly 20 years, he also served as the president of the Mykonos Hoteliers Association. Until recently, Fiorentinos was the head of the tourism sector for the ruling New Democracy party.
