Dinos was a pivotal figure in the aviation industry, known for his unwavering dedication and significant contributions to the field. He served as the president of Discover the World Greece & Cyprus from the establishment of its Greek office in 1992 until his recent retirement. Under his leadership, the company flourished, representing 13 major international airlines, cruise companies, and entertainment groups. His career also included notable roles such as holding sales and marketing positions at Qantas Airways in Athens and Melbourne, serving as the general manager of Dalia Tours, and working as the sales manager of the Athenaeum Intercontinental. The Board of Directors of SAAE released a statement expressing their deepest sorrow for Dinos’ passing, highlighting his boundless positive energy that will remain with us forever. “Throughout his career, Dinos actively contributed to the development of aviation in Greece through his vital airline representations and his continuous involvement in the industry’s institutional matters. His consistency, combativeness, and integrity left a lasting impact on all who had the privilege of working with him.” Dinos’ funeral will be held on Wednesday, July 31, at the First Cemetery of Athens, at 10:30 am.
