The platform enables shipping companies to access technical specifications, reserve specific berthing spots, and view availability on an hourly basis throughout the year. The launch event took place on Thursday and attended by Giorgos Koubenas, President of the Union of Cruise Ship Owners and Maritime Agencies (EEKFN); Konstantinos Gonias, General Manager of the Association of Passenger Shipping Companies (SEEN); and Vasilis Mamalis, Executive Director of the Hellenic Ports Association. EEKFN President Giorgos Koubenas speaking during the presentation of the new digital Berth Allocation Platform at the port of Lavrio. “This platform will serve as a tool for enhancing sales and evaluating productivity at the Port of Lavrion,” said Lavrio Port Authority CEO Giorgos Vakondios. The platform features direct communication capabilities, the creation of detailed profiles for ships, customers, agents, and shipping companies, as well as a data analysis and grading system based on criteria set by the Port Authority.
