To this end, a public tender has been announced. The deadline for the bidding process is October 11, 2024, and the charging stations must be installed by the end of 2025, as per the “Charging Everywhere” program initiated by the Greek Ministry of the Environment and Energy. The construction of the charging stations will be 70 percent funded through the aforementioned program, itself covered by the Recovery Fund, with the consignee providing the remaining 30 percent of the total project cost. The agreement will last for 20 years and includes “the supply, installation, management, operation, and maintenance of 14 vehicle charging stations, with a total of 15 supply pillars”. In the central square of Pramanta, six supply pillars will be available: two for private vehicles, one for cars used by people with mobility and other physical limitations, one for taxis, and two for tourist coaches and catering vehicles. Syrrako, Kalentzi, Elliniko, Gefyri Plakas, Platanoussa, Chouliarades, Matsouki and Vathipedo are the other locations where the charging stations will be installed in the Municipality of North Tzoumerka. “By creating a user-friendly environment for electric vehicle drivers, we are enhancing the attractiveness of our area as a destination while supporting efforts to achieve a zero carbon footprint,” North Tzoumerka Mayor Nikos Vaitsis said.
