The project has recently entered a significant phase with the commencement of construction on a new wastewater management facility. The facility was officially inaugurated recently by the deputy governors of Western Greece, Vasilis Giannopoulos and Fokion Zaimis. “Our aim is to extend the operational season of the ski center by introducing initiatives, activities, and events throughout the year,” Deputy Governor Vasilis Giannopoulos said. The modernization efforts, overseen by the regional authority of Western Greece, are set to enhance not only the ski center itself but also the broader historical area of Kalavryta in the Peloponnese, which is renowned for its numerous tourist attractions. The new wastewater management facility will be situated in Xirokampos, near the ski center. Designed to be environmentally friendly and constructed underground to preserve the natural beauty of the area, the facility will incorporate state-of-the-art technologies.
