Six bidders have advanced to the second phase in the process to acquire a majority stake in the Lavrio Port Authority (LPA SA).

Greece’s privatization agency, the Hellenic Republic Asset Development Fund (HRADF), on Wednesday announced that the following investment groups (listed in alphabetical order) have met the criteria to proceed to the second phase (submission of binding offers) of the Lavrio Port Authority international tender:

– Consortium GPH CRUISE PORT FINANCE LTD – PROMARINE S.A.
– Consortium JET PLAN SHIPPING Co LTD – AKTOR CONCESSIONS S.A.
– Consortium OLYMPIC MARINE S.A. – MSC CRUISES S.A.
– GEK TERNA S.A.
– INTERKAT S.A.
– ISRAEL SHIPYARDS INDUSTRIES LTD

Following the signing of the confidentiality agreement, the pre-qualified investment groups will receive the “Phase B” documents and gain access to the virtual data room (VDR), where relevant data and information about the asset will be available.

“Lavrio Port Authority S.A.” (LPA S.A.) currently holds the exclusive right to use and develop the land, buildings, and facilities of the Port of Lavrio under a concession agreement with the Greek state, effective for 60 years from 2002 until 2062.

The port of Lavrio is the third-largest port in Attica. Its proximity to popular tourist destinations, Athens International Airport (AIA) , and the ports of Piraeus and Rafina makes it well-suited for tourism development, including the operation of a cruise terminal and a marina for yachts.

The HRADF is a member of the Growthfund– The National Fund of Greece.
