Greece was named “Favorite Country” for the fifth consecutive year at “The Trazees 2024” American tourism-travel awards, as voted by the millennial readers of Trazee Travel.

The recognition was based on a survey conducted by the online travel platform TrazeeTravel.com from August 15, 2023, to April 16, 2024, which featured open-ended questions about the best in various categories significant to the millennial travel market (under 40 years of age).

Readers voted in dozens of categories, which also included airlines and airports, hotels and international hotel chains, cruise lines, destinations for adventure tourism, gastronomy and city breaks, travel agencies, etc.

According to the Greek National Tourism Organization (GNTO), the distinction elevated the country to the prestigious Quint Status of the awards, a recognition given to nominations that secure a win in the same category for five years in a row.

In the 10th edition of the awards, Greece was also ranked as the second “Favorite Honeymoon Destination”, rounding out the list of top honors at this year’s ceremony.

Konstantinos Harokopos, the head of GNTO’s office in North America, accepted the Greek award at the awards ceremony on August 12 in Nashville, Tennessee.

Other winning destinations included Seoul, named Favorite Worldwide City for the third consecutive year, and Bermuda, a four-time winner for Favorite Honeymoon Destination. Additionally, Taiwan secured the Favorite Adventure Destination award for the second year in a row, while New Orleans, Louisiana, achieved its second win for Favorite Foodie City. Nashville, Tennessee, was recognized with the Friendliest City honors.

TrazeeTravel.com is produced by the team at FXExpress Publications, Inc. and “Global Traveler” magazine, and is primarily targeted at travelers aged 25-40, a demographic identified by international surveys as the most sought-after travel category.
