The ferry service connecting the port of Piraeus with Limassol and Larnaca in Cyprus will continue for an additional three years, with Daleela’s voyages extended through the summer of 2027.
Daleela, which began its Greece-Cyprus route in June 2022, carries passengers, vehicles, and has also proven popular with pets. During its first three years, the service was subsidized with 5.5 million euros annually.
The recent decision by the Nicosia government to extend the service reflects its success.
“The sea passenger connection between Cyprus and Greece has fulfilled its purpose, creating a new segment of the tourist market for travelers wishing to move between Cyprus and continental Europe with their private cars and motorbikes,” Cypriot Deputy Minister of Shipping Marina Hadjimanolis recently said.

Since its inaugural voyage in 2022, Daleela has transported over 21,000 passengers, more than 7,000 cars, and 700 pets.
For 2024, Daleela’s schedule includes its first trip in late May and its final voyage on September 4, sailing from Piraeus to Larnaca.
In 2025, 22 trips are planned, starting in May and concluding in September. Of these, 14 trips will connect Piraeus with Limassol, and 8 will link Piraeus with Larnaca.
Daleela, built in 1991, flies the Cypriot flag and has a capacity of 400 passengers and 200 vehicles. It is owned by Arab Ship Management and chartered to Scandro Holding Ltd.
BBT Air is the General Sales Agent (GSA) of Scandro Holding in Greece.
