According to an announcement to its trade partners, the updates reflect its ongoing commitment to improve Gulf Air’s service capabilities and provide enhanced value. Following are the updates to Guld Air’s NDC portal: – Enhanced Order Reshop Capabilities: You can now re-shop any directional origin and destination and choose mixed brands using the NDC portal. This improvement allows you to select desired inbound or outbound flights and combine different fare brands, offering greater flexibility and customization for you clients’ needs. – India Barcode Mandate: In compliance with the new regulations, all NDC tickets to and from India will have barcodes automatically generated for the segments of the e-tickets on the NDC portal. You can also request a barcode to be sent to you or your customers directly by email through the NDC portal using the Email Voucher button. – Differentiated Ancillary Content: Discounted baggage ancillary services are now available on NDC for applicable markets with differentiated fare content. This feature allows you to sell competitive baggage rates, adding value and enhancing the travel experience for your clients. Gulf Air commenced operations in 1950, becoming one of the first commercial airlines established in the Middle East. The airline operates scheduled flights from its hub at Bahrain International Airport to over 40 cities in Europe, Middle East, Africa, Indian sub-continent and the Far East. In Greece, the airline’s schedule includes scheduled flights to Athens all year round. Gulf Air also carries out summer seasonal flights to Mykonos, Santorini and Rhodes.
