Eleven more countries than last year’s 18 will be participating in the upcoming Thessaloniki International Fair (TIF), Greece’s largest annual event of its kind.

Scheduled to run from September 7-15, the 88th Thessaloniki International Fair will host international participants from 27 countries, with Germany being this year’s honored country.

TIF more inclusive than ever

In addition to Germany, the Fair will feature the following countries, demonstrating its growing international appeal and increasing global engagement: Armenia, Luxembourg, India, Indonesia, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Poland, Iran, Nepal, Bulgaria, Uruguay, Bangladesh, Italy, Moldova, Ukraine, Cyprus, Kosovo, Sub-Saharan African countries, United Kingdom, Japan, Ecuador, Qatar, Pakistan, Egypt, Syria, China, and Palestine.

Notably, this will be the first time that the United Kingdom, Qatar, Japan, Sub-Saharan African countries, Ecuador, and Kosovo are participating in the Thessaloniki Fair.

Grand German participation

As the honored country, Germany will have approximately 120 exhibitors at the Fair, including companies and institutions from various sectors such as heavy industry, high technology, energy, transportation and logistics, finance, pharmaceuticals, agrotechnology, and food technology. German pavilion booths will feature businesses and cultural entities, including educational institutions.

Organized by TIF-Helexpo, the 88th TIF will emphasize Greece’s contemporary challenges with a strong focus on technological advancements, innovation, and sustainable development. The event will offer numerous B2B and B2C opportunities, as well as various entertainment and cultural activities open to the public.
