This aid will be provided through the EU Solidarity Fund (EUSF) and is part of a broader support initiative totaling over 1 billion euros, which also includes funding for Italy, Slovenia, Austria, and France to address severe flooding in 2023. Previously, Greece received an advance payment of 25.3 million euros from the EUSF in January. According to the Commission’s announcement, the allocation of the aid package is as follows: 378.8 million euros for Italy to address flood damages in the Emilia-Romagna region from May 2023, and an additional 67.8 million euros for Tuscany following floods in October and November 2023; 428.4 million euros for Slovenia; 5.2 million euros for Austria for August 2023 floods; 101.5 million euros for Greece for September 2023 floods; and 46.7 million euros for France for flood damages in the Hauts-de-France region in November 2023. , we stand by your side. Since its establishment in 2002, the EUSF has mobilized over 8.6 billion euros for 130 disasters (110 natural disasters and 20 health emergencies) across 24 Member States (including the UK) and four candidate countries (Albania, Montenegro, Serbia, and Türkiye).
