Organized by TIF-Helexpo, the fair from September 7 to 15 will feature international participants, nine presentations on the economy and society, chambers representing 350 businesses from across Greece, and an impressive drone show that will illuminate the skies over the international exhibition center of Thessaloniki. This year, the number of international participants has risen to 25, up from 18 last year, with first-time entries from the United Kingdom, Qatar, Japan, Sub-Saharan Africa, Ecuador, and Kosovo. TIF’s key topics of interest will include academia, Greek entrepreneurship, international participants, Greek and foreign gastronomy, retail trade in Greece, household goods, public institutions, and the hobby festival. 135 exhibitors from Germany Photo source: TIF-HELEXPO As the honored country of TIF, Germany will be represented by 135 exhibitors in Stand 13, covering an area of 6,000 sqm. These exhibitors include companies, organizations, institutions, research centers, and cooperation networks. The German delegation will consist of 400 members, primarily high-ranking executives from institutions and companies. The represented sectors include construction, consulting services, renewable energy and environmental technologies, the digital economy, healthcare and medical technology, education and research, as well as logistics, transportation, and other services. “The German pavilion will be the main attraction of the 88th TIF,” said TIF-Helexpo President Tasos Tzikas during a recent press conference, adding that this year’s event is especially significant due to Germany’s participation. As part of Germany’s participation, TIF-Helexpo, in collaboration with the Hellenic Federation of Enterprises (SEV) and the Leipzig Exhibition Organization, is organizing a B2B meetings event featuring around 400 companies from Germany. The Vice-Chancellor of Germany, along with other German officials, have arrived Thessaloniki to attend the TIF. Officials included Ambassador Andrea Kindl who emphasized that the fair offers a valuable opportunity to strengthen Greek-German bilateral relations. He also highlighted the strong investment interest from Germany in Greece, emphasizing that this is the largest German participation in an international exhibition abroad in the past 25 years. Photo source: TIF-HELEXPO The Union of Hellenic Chambers of Commerce will participate for the 7th time, along with 47 chambers representing 350 businesses from across Greece. Additionally, separate participations will come from the Professional Chamber of Thessaloniki, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Thessaloniki, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Athens, the Chamber of Small and Medium-Sized Industries of Thessaloniki, and the Chamber of Imathia. Other notable thematic tributes will include: – Akademia, which this year has become a hub for the educational community, as well as a center for research, technology, and innovation. – The Hobby Festival, enriching the special tributes at this year’s TIF, offers a unique opportunity to explore various hobbies through professionals and organizations. It is co-organized by TEF-HELEXPO and skywalker.gr – Work in Greece. – The Economist conference will be held on Friday at the “I. Vellidis” conference center, while European Commission events will also take place during the TIF. On his part, TIF-Helexpo Managing Director Kyriakos Pozrikidis noted the significant financial impact of the fair, highlighting that local hotels are fully booked.
