The unique culinary traditions of Florina take center stage at KOUZINA 2024, a gastronomy festival showcasing a three-day program filled with local recipes and cultural events.

The KOUZINA festival is an annual gastronomy event held in Eastern Halkidiki. Each year, renowned chefs, media representatives, and tourism professionals from Greece and across Europe visit the festival to explore the region’s beauty and savor its Greek cuisine.

According to the Halkidiki Tourism Organization (HTO), a key rule of the festival is the exclusive use of local organic products.

From September 6 to 8, Florina’s most renowned dish, kebabs, will be prepared in the shops of Great Panagia, Arnaia, and Ierissos in Halkidiki and served to festival visitors. This delicious and intriguing kebab recipe, featuring three types of minced meat and a blend of spices, showcases the special gastronomic identity of the Macedonian city.

Meanwhile, a famous band from Florina will entertain visitors with traditional Macedonian music played on brass instruments. Additionally, 30 dancers from the Lyceum of Greek Women and the “Aristotle” Association of Florina will perform in the streets of these villages, moving to the rhythms of the band.

As part of the event on Sunday, September 8, KOUZINA will present quality awards to over 180 contributors to this year’s festival, including restaurateurs, hoteliers, chefs, operators, and volunteers, at the beach of Ierissos.

Supported by the Greek National Tourism Organization (GNTO), the event was organized by the Municipality of Aristotle, the Chamber of Halkidiki, and the Aristotle Union of Professionals.
