Air Travel Korean Air to Expand Autumn, Winter Schedule to China and Japan by GTP editing team 5 September 2024 written by GTP editing team 5 September 2024 0 comments Share 0FacebookTwitterLinkedinWhatsappEmail 28 Korean Air is expanding its China and Japan networks to meet the recovering travel demand in the region, resuming several routes to both countries. “The strategic network adjustments underscore the airline’s commitment to enhancing travel experience and reinforcing its position as a market leader in the region,” airline officials remark in an announcement. The carrier also increase frequencies on other popular routes due to the upcoming autumn and winter travel needs. Korean Air will resume its Seoul Incheon-Mudanjiang and Busan-Qingdao services on October 22 and December 1, respectively, following a four-year hiatus due to the pandemic. The route will operate five times weekly and the Busan-Qingdao route will operate daily. The airline has increased frequencies on its Seoul Incheon-Zhengzhou route from four weekly flights to a daily service on August 12. Similarly, the Seoul Incheon-Xiamen route will see an increase in frequency from four weekly flights to a daily service from October 1. The Seoul Incheon-Taichung route will undergo a two-phase enhancement. From September 10 to October 26, the route will be serviced four times weekly. From October 27, the frequency will increase to daily flights, further strengthening Korean Air’s presence in the Taiwan market. Relaunching of flights to Japan for the winter Starting from October 27, the airline will relaunch its Seoul Incheon-Nagasaki route for the winter season after a break of more than 11 years. This route will operate four times weekly on Mondays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays, opening new travel opportunities to the historic Japanese city. Aiming to address anticipated surge in autumn travel to Osaka, the rout from Seoul to the Japanese city will also see a temporary increase in service.
